Flagship is a Men’s fashion and lifestyle brand focused on 4 basic principles. Everything we do encompasses the Cool, the Clean, the Bold, and the Sophisticated. I am the creative director and part owner at Flagship. We aim to provide quality products to an audience that welcomes our perspective on products. The brand was developed in collaboration with Adam Lupton and Albert Law. Flagship is co-owned with Godfrey Gao, Kaz Pindral, and Thomas Tran.
On Dec. 21, 2012 we launched our very first pop-up store and debuted our first collection. This date also marked the end-date of a 5,126 year long cycle in the Mayan Calendar. Some believed it to be the end of days, we treated it as our day one. Nearly selling out our first collection, we followed up the product line with New Era, introducing fitted, and snapback hats.
Design ProcessSince inception, we have continued to build and create products based on our core principles. We have been fortunate to have met very talented and inspirational people along the way.
Our product catalog consists of shirts, sweaters, hoodies, long sleeves, jackets, fitted hats, snapback hats and new 'dad' style hats.
Together with my collaborators Adam Lupton and Albert Law, we created a brand that reflects Flagship's principals and style. The brand is carried throughout each product and crafted with purpose. We aim to keep things minimal with flare in the details.
Clothing often speaks for itself. It gives people visual flavour and personality. Our goal is to create pieces that can amplify that message. We keep things simple but not dull, loud but not obnoxious, stylish but wearable, building on our goal of creating cool, clean, bold and sophisticated pieces.
A business owner must play multiple roles in a small company. Designing clothing, communicating with factories, line sheets, web management, photography, marketing, social media, sales, delivery; you got to do it all!
